LOCATION AND GRID REFERENCE

Just 25 minutes drive from the M4. Situated on a farm adjacent to Brechfa Forest.  1 mile (by road) south of the village of Brechfa on the B4310,  and 5 miles north of the junction of the B4310 with the A40 at Nantgaredig.

DESCRIPTION

The bunkhouse is a converted stone barn providing 7 bedrooms ranging from a double room to family sized bedrooms.  Fully equipped kitchen, dining area large enough for all your party to eat together and a 40 foot by 20 foot lounge with wood burning stove.

Large drying room.

Bike/horse/muddy child washdown area and lockable bike and tack store.

HEATING / COOKING FACILITIES

Under floor heating throughout with each room controlled by a separate thermostat.  Unlimited hot water.  Drying room.   Fully equipped kitchen including two cookers, microwave, fridge freezer.

Towels. 

Sleeping bag or bed linen  (or linen is available to hire)

NEAREST PUBLIC TRANSPORT

A bus from Carmarthen to Brechfa passes the gate each day.  The nearest bus stop is at Horeb crossroads, but drivers are usually willing to drop you off closer to the gate if you ask in advance. Carmarthen has both a coach station and railway station.

LOCAL INTERESTS / ATTRACTIONS

Brechfa Forest has 2 mountain bike trails and a third will be constructed in 2008.   Horse riders and walkers are able to use all bridleways and forest tracks within the 50 square miles of the forest and the network of bridleways, byways and quiet country lanes surrounding the forest.
