Located at north-eastern end of Pontsticill reservoir on the southern side of the Brecon Beacons NP.

DESCRIPTIONThe bunkhouse is part of Dolygaer Outdoor Education Centre which is owned and administered by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. The Centre has been in existence since 1970 and provides outdoor education experiences for young people and adults from the Borough.
The accommodation has two bedrooms, one with 4 beds (2 bunks) and one with 6 beds (3 bunks).
Both these rooms have their own bathroom with shower. They also have their own electric heating system. There is a communal toilet and a drying room. The self catering kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster, sink and 4 ring cooker with oven

There is a bus service from the centre of Merthyr Tydfil to Pontsticill village
LOCAL INTERESTS/ATTRACTIONS
Dolygaer is a licensed provider of outdoor activities and is qualified to provide a large range of outdoor pursuits including kayaking and canoeing, caving and gorge walking, sailing and windsurfing, mountaineering and hill walking, improvised rafting and orienteering.
The Centre operates a full programme for its residential clients and would require prior notice to provide activities for users of the bunkhouse
