The Black Mountain Lodge is sited at the Old Pandy Inn, a 17th Century Country Inn some 4 miles north of Abergavenny, 15 miles south of Hereford at the foot of the Black Mountains. The Offa's Dyke Path is only 400 yards away.

DESCRIPTION
The Lodge was an old Fulling Mill across the courtyard from the main building. Recently converted, the Lodge can sleep 20 people in three rooms or opened up for larger groups. We are 400 yards from the Offa's Dyke path and close to several historic monuments. The Gower Peninsula is a one hour drive, Tintern Abbey is thirty minutes, Cardiff forty minutes and The Brecon Beacons are just over the hill.
There are free showers at both ends of the building allowing for groups of opposite sexes. Irons, hairdryers, etc., also available free of charge, and there is a television with video playback facilities in the common room. This a Drying room and Laundry facilities.
The Old Pandy Inn has excellent catering facilities and an extensive menu
HEATING / COOKING FACILITIES
The Lodge has full central heating. There is also a wood burner stove in the common room. There is a kitchenette with 2 microwaves, toasters, sandwich toasters and tea/coffee making facilities.

By Train:
The nearest Main Line Stations are at Newport or Hereford. Abergavenny is on the Newport to Hereford line and there are plenty of trains from both the above to Abergavenny Station. We are four miles away.By Bus:
The Pandy Inn has a dedicated stop. Again there are plenty of bus runs to Newport, Hereford and Abergavenny itself.By Road:

The area surrounding the Black Mountain Lodge is full of history and legend. For the tourist there are unlimited sights and places to visit from Hay-on-Wye with one of the world's largest collection of book shops, Tintern, Chepstow, Brecon and many other ancient towns with their castles and monasteries. Our immediate surroundings boast a Magnificent location at the foot of the Black Mountains, only 400 yards north of Offa's Dyke path in the centre of an area of natural beauty with sights and activities for both the tourist and outdoor activity enthusiast alike.
