DESCRIPTION

Set in breath-taking scenery in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Absolute Adventure is in a fantastic location for all activities.
 
The property dates from 1836 and retains many original features, such as arrow slits and exposed oak beams. The centre is ideal for groups of all sizes. The dining room has facilities for up to 40 people, with wood block flooring and an open log fire. Along with the large kitchen there is also a lounge (with TV, DVD etc), study/classroom area, and three bathroom/shower areas on the ground floor.

The accommodation is situated on the first floor in 9 separate rooms, of between 2 and 6 beds.

If you don’t want to cook for yourself, catering can be arranged, or good food is available at several nearby pubs.

Set within its own extensive grounds, there are areas for camping and access to the river Tawe for kayaking. Absolute Adventure is also a licensed outdoor activity provider and can provide qualified instruction and activity courses, as well as kit hire

The well- equipped kitchen has microwave, fridge, freezer, double sink and six-burner cooker.
All rooms are centrally heated.
There is also a large and effective kit drying room

As licensed providers of outdoor activities, we are qualified to provide the full range of outdoor pursuits, including kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling, caving, gorge walking, raft building, mountaineering and hill walking, archery and mountain biking.

Our course are suitable for all ages and abilities and activities can be grouped together to make programmes of any length to suit your specific requirements. Absolute Adventure is a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning and provides team building and personal development training.

Nearby attractions include:

Dan yr Ogof Showcaves – Discovered in 1912, it is now one of the most spectacular showcave complexes in Northern Europe. There is also a dinosaur park, shire-horse centre and adventure playground.
Craig y Nos Castle – constructed in 1843, it was the home of the world famous opera singer Adelina Patti from 1878 until 1919. It is now used for functions, concerts, and guided tours.
Henrhyd Falls, Coelbren – the National Park’s highest single drop falls at 90ft. It is possible to walk behind the falls.
Pentre Riding Stables and Trekking Centre.
Brecon Beacons Visitors Centre and Craig y Nos Country Park.
